Learned why my DME readings were off after 4 years, it was so dumb

I was chasing an intermittent fault on a King KTR 908 for like 3 days last month. Finally pulled the manual out of boredom and found the antenna cable has a max bend radius spec I never checked. I mean I ran that same install 20 times before, nobody ever told me that. How do you guys keep little things like that from slipping through training? Has anyone else had a gotcha like this hiding in an old manual?
