Shoutout to the $9 heat shrink kit that fixed a 3 year old gremlin in my Cessna's nav lights
The old splices looked fine but the shrink tubing had gone stiff and let moisture in, so I redid all 4 with the cheap kit and the flicker quit for good. Anyone else find that the cheapest fix is usually the one you put off the longest?
Ha, cheap shrink tube is exactly what got you into that mess in the first place, the good stuff with the glue inside lasts way longer. Nine bucks feels great until you're back in there in two years doing the same four splices again. Sometimes the cheap fix works and sometimes it just kicks the can down the road.
