Tried a $40 borescope to inspect a fuel line, ended up chasing a spider
Last Tuesday I used a cheap borescope to peek inside a Cessna fuel line and found what looked like a blockage, so I spent 2 hours pulling the line apart. Turns out it was just a spider web on the lens the whole time, and the line was perfectly clean. My lead at the hangar in Phoenix still brings it up every morning, laughing. Now I wipe the lens before every inspection, but has anyone else had a borescope trick them into a wild goose chase?
