Mom's Sunday calls turned into gold with a simple script
My mom called every Sunday about money stuff, usually asking if I could cover her car insurance again. It got tense after 4 months of me always saying yes then feeling broke. I wrote out a short response listing what I could offer, like $50 toward groceries but not the full $240 bill, plus a set date to talk again. She actually respected the boundary once I read it straight to her, and now we plan before she asks. Has anyone else used a written reply to stop the repeat money asks?
