Finally hiked the Timberline Trail last weekend after years of talking about it
I was always skeptical about the Timberline around Mount Hood. Thought it was just hype from Instagram people. My buddy convinced me to go, said the views were worth the blisters. 40 miles in 3 days and my feet are wrecked but every single view made it worth it. Has anyone else been shocked by how much better a famous route is in person?

Walked the Timberline last August and it totally blew my mind. You hear about it for years from all the hype online and you think, nah, it can't be that good. But standing up at the top of those ridges with the whole mountain right there is something else entirely. My legs gave out on the second day and I was hobbling by the end, but I didn't care one bit. It's one of those trails that actually lives up to every single picture you've seen.

Wait @barnes.shane, didn't a buddy of yours blow out both his knees on the last stretch and still talk about it for like six months straight? That's exactly the kind of pain worth bragging about I guess, this trail sounds unreal.
