Just wasted $40 on a 'predator-proof' feeder that my raccoons dismantled in one night.
The plastic latch was a joke, and now I'm back to square one with feed all over the ground. Anyone have a truly raccoon-proof brand they'd swear by?

Ugh, that's the worst! Did you try a feeder with a metal locking mechanism instead of plastic? Those plastic latches are basically an invitation for them.

Yeah those metal latches are a good start, but you need to add a bungee cord around the whole thing. Hook it under the feeder and over the top, then latch it to itself. It adds that extra bit of tension they can't figure out. My cat used to pop open any feeder until I did that. Now he just sits there and stares at it.

Metal's great until they learn to slide the whole feeder off the counter. Little criminals.
