My uncle in Boise swore by adding apple cider vinegar to the water for years
He said it kept his flock healthy and I finally tried it last spring with my six hens. After about two weeks, I noticed their feathers looked way shinier and their energy was up. Anyone else use this trick and see a difference, or is it just a coincidence?

Honestly, the shinier feathers and extra energy could just be from the change in weather last spring. I tried apple cider vinegar with my birds a while back and didn't see any real proof it did anything. Tbh, I'm pretty careful about adding stuff to their water without a clear reason from my vet. It just seems like one of those old tips that gets passed around more than it gets proven.
