Can we talk about the guy at the Rockford Menards who called my floating shelf a seesaw
I mounted a 36 inch oak shelf in my kitchen 3 weeks ago and invited my buddy over to judge it, but his neighbor who does finish carpentry took one look and asked if I was building a toy for my kids. Turns out I only hit one stud and used 2 inch screws with no bracket, so the whole thing dips an inch when you set a stack of plates on it. What is the least embarrassing way to fix stud placement when the stud is 5 inches off from where the shelf needs to hang?
