Just realized my miter saw stand takes 4 minutes to set up and I've done it 300 times
I bought a folding miter saw stand because it was on sale for $79, but the locking pins on both sides need two hands to line up and the wings sag once the saw is mounted. I timed it in my driveway in Boise and it's 4 minutes from truck to first cut, versus 40 seconds for the old plywood bench I threw out. What's the actual fix here, do I weld the pins or just bolt the whole thing to a cart and stop pretending it's portable?

My Ryobi stand has the same stupid two hand pin thing and I finally gave up on it after maybe 20 setups in my garage. I bolted the whole stand to a $40 moving dolly from Harbor Freight and now I just roll it into the corner, takes 10 seconds and the wings stopped sagging because the dolly keeps everything level. Welding the pins would just lock you into the sag problem, a cart is the real answer.
