Rant: my 8pm phone scroll turned into 90 minutes a night, so I swapped it for a $4 kitchen timer
I used to crash on the couch around 8pm and burn an hour and a half on my phone before bed, and I felt like junk at work by Wednesday. So I set a cheap $4 wind up timer for 20 minutes and put my phone on the kitchen counter across the room. The timer going off is way harder to ignore than a screen notification, and I got 6 nights in a row of actually reading before bed last week. Anyone else tried a physical timer instead of an app blocker, or am I just weird about needing the tick tick sound?
