My roommate in Cleveland ate my leftovers off my plate while I was still eating, then said 'you weren't gonna finish that'
Two years ago in our Cleveland apartment, my roommate Dana reached across the table and grabbed half my burger off my plate while I was chewing the first bite. She said 'you weren't gonna finish that anyway' and just kept eating it, and I sat there too stunned to say anything. Has anyone else had a roommate who treated your food like a free buffet, and how did you get them to stop?

My old roommate Marcus did the same thing with a pizza box from Vincenza's on East 12th. I got home at like 11pm after a double shift and there was one slice left, and he'd already eaten the other seven while I was at work. When I called him out he said he thought I'd bought it for both of us, which was never a thing we did. I started writing my name on stuff with a Sharpie after that, real mature I know. He still ate a whole tub of my ice cream and tried to play it off like the freezer did it. Some people just never learned that food in a shared place still belongs to somebody. The Sharpie didn't even work, so I got a mini fridge and put a bike lock through the handle.
