Changed my mind about group projects after one disaster in Bio 201

I always thought group projects were a total waste, that solo work was the only fair way. Then last semester, my Bio 201 lab partner bailed right before the final presentation, and two strangers from another group stepped in to help me finish the slides at 11pm in the library. Their input actually made my section better, the professor even praised the flow. Has anyone else had a random team save them when they least expected it?
