Hit 1,000 sourdough loaves baked at home last weekend and it caught me off guard

I just counted back through my baking journal and realized I’ve made exactly 1,000 loaves since I started during lockdown in 2020, and what really got me was how many of those early ones ended up as doorstops or dog treats before I figured out my starter’s rhythm, has anyone else hit a random baking milestone that surprised them more than they expected?

Caught me off guard" is a weird way to say it unless the loaves literally attacked you.

Wait, has nobody here ever had a friend who tells stories like that? I had a buddy once who said a loaf of bread "caught him off guard" at the grocery store. Turned out he was reaching for a baguette on the top shelf and a whole stack of them came sliding down, smacked him right in the face. I had to laugh when he told me, @evangarcia, because honestly it sounds ridiculous but things like that really do happen. Maybe the OP just meant it surprised them in a physical way, not literally attacking them.
