Am I the only one who thinks disputed charges should not take 45 days to resolve?
I filed a dispute over a $220 charge from a merchant in Ohio back on March 3rd and it dragged on for 11 weeks because every time I called, the rep gave me a different answer about what documents they still needed, so I finally asked for a supervisor and got it closed in two days, which makes me wonder why the first ten calls could not do that.
Calling and asking for a supervisor right away is what finally worked for me too. The regular reps kept losing my paperwork or telling me something different each time, so I skipped them and went straight up the chain. Two days later the money was back in my account, and I stopped wasting hours on hold.
