Appreciation post: the ATM at my credit union finally asked if I wanted a receipt and I realized I'd been skipping it for 9 months
I was balancing my checkbook last Tuesday and had no clue what 14 different $40 withdrawals in April were, because I always smash the no receipt button at that machine on Oak Street. Turns out I was buying lunch, not getting scammed. How do you all keep track of cash you pull out if you never grab the slip?
Skipped that receipt button for years and then wondered why my wallet felt like a mystery novel. Now I grab the slip every time and shove it in my glove box, then check it once a week. Takes two minutes and saves me a whole lot of guessing.
