Chat support said my payment cleared but the funds never arrived
Last Tuesday I paid my credit card through the app, got a confirmation number and everything, but the balance didn't update for 48 hours. Turned out their 'real time' system only works if you pay before 2pm EST, otherwise it's just a pending hold. Has anyone else had a payment get stuck in limbo like that?

This happens more often than people think, but honestly the bank is usually not messing up. The 2pm EST cutoff is pretty standard across most major banks, not just credit cards. If you pay after that time, it's basically a batch processing thing that gets posted the next business day. The confirmation number just means they accepted the payment request, not that it cleared your account yet. I've never had a payment actually get lost doing it this way, just delayed for a day or two. Maybe try making payments before 2pm next time if you need to see the available credit update right away.

Oh absolutely, the 2pm cutoff thing bit me too and I felt like a real genius staring at my phone like "but the technology said it went through!" I swear my credit card company has a little gremlin who sits there from 2:01pm onward just hitting the snooze button on all my payments until the next day. It's like they expect me to plan my bill paying around my afternoon coffee break or something. That confirmation number feels about as useful to me now as a "your package is out for delivery" notification that never actually shows up.
