inHit 100 pounds of scrap lumber pulled from one fence project, that stopped me cold
Tracking pounds of wood seems backwards to me. You saved money sure, but counting weight isnt measuring what the wood actually cost you in time pulling nails and cutting around rot. I salvaged a bunch of pallets once and ended up spending three weekends breaking them down for maybe 40 bucks worth of usable boards. Sometimes the cheapest material is the most expensive when you count your hours.

inTook me 4 Saturdays to figure out my croissants were too warm, not underproofed
Your $9 thermometer just proved you can't blame bad technique on summer, so maybe the real issue was your kitchen.

inHad to choose between a cheap dash cam and a $250 one, picked the cheap route
Yeah @the_jason hit it right, been there with cams that look great in the day and turn to garbage at night. Solidarity, friend, that grain is real.

inTIL I was wiring shield grounds backwards on nav antenna lines for 3 years
That antenna trick only works if nobody checks your work before you leave.
