My credit union rep said to stop using my debit card for gas and I ignored her for a year
Back in January 2024, a rep at my credit union in Boise named Dana pulled up my account and said those little $60 to $80 holds at the pump were adding up against my checking balance. I blew it off and kept swiping the debit card anyway. Then I bounced two bills in the same week and paid $70 in fees over holds that were already released. She was right and I was wrong, so I want to know if anyone else switched to a credit card at the pump for this exact reason.
