Spent $50 on a budgeting app a year ago and it still hasn't saved me a dime
I thought the fancy charts would fix my spending habits but I'm actually worse off with overdrafts now, has anyone else found tracking every penny just made them ignore the big picture?

See it more like a mirror than a magic fix - the app just shows what you're already doing, it's on you to actually change the habits.

Whoa okay that's actually a way better way to think about it than I've been seeing people say. Tbh most folks treat these habit trackers like they're some kind of life hack or cheat code but you're right, it's just showing you the raw data of your choices. Ngl I've had days where the app told me I slept like crap and I just ignored it and ate junk food anyway, that's totally on me. Honestly the hard part isn't the app, it's staring at that screen and deciding you actually want to change something.
