My 9 year old pulled Holes off the school library shelf after they removed it, and now 12 kids check it out from her backpack
The librarian told me they pulled it in September because a parent in Austin complained about the flashback scenes with Sam and Katherine. Has anyone else had a kid run a secret lending library out of their bag, and how do you keep the school from finding out?

That line about the parent in Austin complaining is the wild part to me. One person in a whole different city gets a book pulled and now your kid is running a black market out of her backpack. That is not a book problem, that is a grownups problem. If they keep pulling stuff, more kids will just do what your daughter did, and the school can't stop a hundred backpacks. So maybe the move is for her to keep it quiet and rotate the stash so no single kid gets caught holding it. She is doing more for reading than the library is right now.
