Hot take: clipper fading isn't always the best way to blend coarse hair

I kept getting lines with my clippers on this guys thick Indian hair no matter what guard I used. Finally tried shears and a comb for the whole blend and it came out seamless in 20 minutes. Every barber I talked to said stick with clippers but that combo saved me on a bad cut last Tuesday. Has anyone else found clippers mess up certain hair types no matter the technique?

A properly sharpened and oiled clipper should handle any hair type fine, maybe the issue was your blades or technique.
