Old school barber asked me why I rush every haircut

Had a 68 year old barber named Lou watch me do a skin fade last Tuesday, sitting right in the empty chair. After I finished he said "you did that in 22 minutes, why?" I told him clients expect speed now. He shook his head and said nobody remembers a fast fade, they remember one that lasts. Made me think about all the corners I cut, like skipping the second pass on the neckline or rushing the blend. Anyone else feel pressure to hurry because of booking apps and review culture?

Lou's right. Fast just means rushed, not better.
