PSA: I was taught to hold my clippers a certain way in barber school, but a client in Austin last month pointed out my thumb was in a weird spot that was slowing me down.
He said, 'Your hand looks stiff, man,' and after I watched myself in the mirror, I saw he was right, so has anyone else had a client give them a real technical tip that actually helped?
Oh man, I've been there. A regular at my bar watched me struggling to open a stubborn bottle once and just said, "Dude, stop death-gripping it." He showed me a lighter way to hold it, and my wrist stopped aching after every shift. Felt like an idiot, but it was solid advice.
