The neck strip mistake that made a client laugh at me in Tulsa

Last Tuesday I had a regular come in, and I put on the neck strip the usual way. Turns out I had it backwards, the sticky side was facing up instead of down. When I snapped the cape closed, the strip flipped up and stuck to his chin hairs. He just sat there staring at me with this confused half smile for a full 10 seconds before busting out laughing. I felt like a rookie, been cutting 12 years now. I checked my other rolls and realized the packaging changed, the paper side looks the same but the adhesive is now on the opposite end. Has anyone else run into this with the new batch of strips from your supplier, or am I the only one who somehow missed it? Because I'd rather know if I need to flip my whole stock before I do this to another client.
