The quiet shoulder strain we never talked about (back in the day) has me focused on prevention now.

I take a minute to roll my shoulders after each haircut and it helps a ton.

Remember seeing my mom struggle to open jars when I was a kid, and it just seemed like normal aging. I mean, maybe it's just me but that stuff sticks with you. Now I catch myself holding tension in my neck all day at my desk and I finally get it. It wasn't one big moment like @laura_lane asked about, more like a slow dread of ending up the same way. So I started doing these stupid little neck rolls every hour, and honestly they help way more than I thought they would. Feels silly but it beats not being able to turn your head.

Hey, when you say "back in the day," what finally made you start focusing on prevention now? Was there a specific moment that changed your mind?

My own tipping point was a week where I couldn't lift my arm to wash my hair. @laura_lane, did you have a similar wake-up call, or was it a slower build for you?
