Pro tip: The butcher paper trick saved my brisket

I've been smoking brisket for about 4 years and always wrapped in foil. Noticed my bark was always soft and mushy. Finally tried butcher paper from a local BBQ supply shop in Nashville and the bark came out perfect on my last cook. Anyone else struggle with foil vs paper?
