Thought offset smokers were all hype until my $150 Oklahoma Joe beat my buddy's $900 pellet rig at a cookoff in Tulsa
He showed up with all the gadgets and I just ran plain oak splits, and the judges gave me second place in brisket. Now I'm wondering if anyone else switched back to stick burning after trying pellets first.
