Appreciation post: a Tuesday rush that went shockingly smooth
Tbh I work the drive thru at a busy coffee spot in Portland and last Tuesday was chaos from 6am to 10am, line out to the street, but somehow we hit every order right and no one yelled. The trick was our shift lead wrote drink names on cups in big marker as she called them out, sounds dumb but it kept us from mixing up the iced vs hot versions. We also had two people on ovens instead of one, which cut ticket times by like 3 minutes. Has anyone else found a weird small change that just turns a bad rush around?
