I dropped $60 on a headset press and I'm still not sure if it was worth it
I got tired of tapping in headsets with a mallet and a block of wood, so I bought a proper press. It's a nice tool, and it works perfectly every time. But I only do maybe two or three headset jobs a month, so it feels like a luxury. Has anyone else bought a tool that sits around more than it gets used?

My old shop had a headset press that got used maybe once a week. It still paid for itself in not having to redo a job or eat the cost of a frame because someone got impatient with a hammer. A tool that stops one big mistake is already worth its spot on the wall.

Honestly, that sounds totally worth it for the peace of mind alone. A good tool that works right every time is never a waste.
