Tried cleaning a rusty chain with degreaser and a brush, but the rust still stuck around
I spent an hour scrubbing an old 10-speed chain from a bike in Denver last weekend, and the rust spots barely faded after all that work. Has anyone here had better luck with a specific rust remover or method for old chains?

Oh man, that's the worst. I swear some of that rust is just decorative at this point. Did you try the vinegar bath? It's like a spa day for rusty chains but way cheaper.
