My game night crew went from 9 people to 3 in about 6 months and nobody will just say why
Honestly we had a solid group meeting every other Friday at my place in Rochester, 9 regulars, and now it's me, Dan, and whoever Dan drags along. It started when two guys got into it over a rules call in Scythe and it just bled out from there. Tbh I think the real killer was everyone switching to online board game nights during the winter and never coming back to the table. Anybody else watch a good group fall apart over something this dumb, and how did you get people back?
Small thing but the online nights probably weren't the killer, they were more like the last push. Sounds like the Scythe thing cracked it and people just drifted after. In my experience once a group misses a month it's real hard to get the habit back.
