Question about the moment I realized I'd been shuffling wrong for 3 years

Was at my Wednesday night game group in Portland and a guy watched me do a few riffle shuffles, then asked why I was bending the whole deck like a bridge every time. Turns out I was mashing the cards instead of actually interleaving them, so my "shuffles" barely mixed anything and I lost a game because my lands all clumped. Anyone got a good video or drill for learning a real riffle without wrecking my $40 sleeves?
