Warning: game night at Dragon's Lair off 82nd made me check every player count now
I run a weekly group and last month we showed up to a 7 player game of Wingspan after some guy from the meetup page said he'd bring his copy. The host just waved us to the table and said "we'll figure it out." We didn't. Three people sat on their phones for an hour and the guy left early. Now I text every single person the night before asking for a headcount and I straight up turn down the table if it's over the box max. Has anyone else had a promising group die because someone didn't respect player limits?
