Am I the only one who built a coffee table from a scrap boiler and now it whistles when it rains?

My wife won't let me bring it inside because she says it sounds like a tea kettle on the fritz.

Bet that thing sounds like a haunted steam engine every time a storm rolls in. You're trying to watch the game and suddenly your living room sounds like a train yard. Honestly your wife has a point, that constant high pitched whine would drive anyone nuts after a while. You might have built the world's most accurate indoor weather alarm, but I don't blame her for banning it.

That haunted steam engine sound is kind of charming though! It's like having a little bit of the outdoors inside. Some of us actually like that background noise.

Tried sealing the seams like @the_barbara said, worked for my porch table.
