Got a 4 inch gouge in a tube sheet last Tuesday during a hydro test and the foreman just walked away without saying a word

Spent the rest of the day grinding it out with a die grinder while the whole crew watched, has anyone else had a repair like that go sideways on a tight deadline?

Man, that's rough. I feel for you, seriously. Standing there with a die grinder while everyone's watching, that's just a special kind of pressure. I've been in that spot where you're trying to fix something and the clock is ticking and the boss just disappears on you. It stinks when you're left holding the bag on a repair that was nobody's fault but your own. Hope you got it sorted out in the end.
