A woman at my Wednesday book club swore she finishes every pick in 3 days, and I finally figured out why that bugs me
She speed reads and skips the discussion notes, so when we got to the ending of our March pick she had nothing to say about the part everyone else argued over for 40 minutes. Is finishing fast the point of a book club, or should we start picking books people actually want to sit with?
