inLost $60 on a deluxe edition I only played once, here is the breakdown
Portland prices aside, that $15 offer sounds about right for resale, but the math is a little off. You didn’t lose $60, you lost $45 after the sale, plus the time sorting trays. That’s still rough, but it’s not the full sticker price. Also, that “played once” rule only works if you actually count the setup as a game, which it clearly wasn’t. My group did the same thing with a big Gloomhaven box, we set it up, ate pizza, and put it back. We finally sold it for $20 to a guy who looked thrilled, and honestly that’s the real win.

inThe $8 jeweler's screwdriver that ended my spring clamp obsession
Man, that feeling when you finally find the right tool for a job you've been fighting for hours, it's like a weight lifts off your shoulders. I had a similar moment with a cheap little offset ratcheting wrench, thought it was gimmicky but now it lives in my top drawer and saves me all the time on tight spaces. It's funny how we get stuck in our ways with the tools we already own, not realizing the grip or the angle is what's actually slowing us down. Good on your buddy for putting you onto that set, sometimes the random cheap stuff really does punch way above its weight.
