Hot take: I brought a one page cheat sheet to book club and it changed the whole talk
Last week at our meeting in Portland, I tried writing down 3 open questions on a single index card instead of my usual 2 pages of notes, mostly because I was running late and grabbed the wrong notebook. What happened was everyone actually answered the questions instead of just agreeing with whoever talked first, and we spent 40 minutes on stuff the book never says out loud. Has anyone else tried bringing fewer notes to a discussion and gotten more out of it?
