Our club split over reading the trilogy back to back vs. spacing each one out a month, and I voted wrong
We picked a three book fantasy series for our summer read in June, and the group decided 4 to 3 to binge all three in 5 weeks. I pushed hard for spacing them a month apart so we could really dig into each one at our Thursday meetups at the library on Grand Ave. The binge side won, and by book three people were so burned out that only 3 of us showed up to talk about the ending. Half the group admitted they skimmed the middle book and couldn't remember a single side character's name. Now I'm curious if other clubs have tried both ways. Did spacing it out keep your group more engaged, or did people just forget what happened between meetings?
