PSA: That $120 leather binding kit from Amazon is not worth it

I got suckered into buying a 'complete starter kit' from a brand called BindCraft last month. The leather tore on my third project and the glue they included dried out after two uses. Has anyone else had better luck with a specific supplier, or am I just better off sourcing materials separate?

Man that stinks! I hate when the glue goes bad first, that's always the thing that should last the longest. Sounds like you dodged a bullet finding out early though, compared to if you'd gotten deep into a big project and had it fall apart on ya.

Oh man, that's perfect. Yeah nothing says "quality time" like discovering your glue turned into rubber cement halfway through. At least it wasn't during a wedding cake project or something. Bet you got some good practice scraping dried gunk off your fingers early. Silver linings right?
