TIL using a bone folder instead of my old plastic one changed the game for my endpapers

The extra weight and smooth edge gave me way cleaner creases on a batch of 50 notebooks, and I'm never going back. Anyone have a favorite brand for heavy-duty scoring tools?

Totally get the bone folder upgrade. Read a blog post from a bookbinder who said the density is what makes the difference, it doesn't give like plastic. My cheap one from the craft store snapped on some thick cardstock, so maybe heavy duty is the way to go.

Snapped on cardstock? That's wild, I've creased cardboard boxes with my plastic one and it just bends. What kind of pressure were you using? A real bone tool must be a total game changer if it can handle that. Makes sense why the pros swear by the material. I'd be so annoyed if my main tool broke mid-project.
