My freezer holds a month's worth of frozen blueberries that taste like sweet nothing compared to the fresh ones from the farmers market last July. Sarah saved six bucks, sure, but she also fed her kids that bland, mushy texture that turns them off real vegetables for life. I'd rather pay the extra four dollars and watch them actually eat the damn peas instead of pushing them around the plate.

The candle lady's win probably came from the demo itself, not the pitch, and copycats will drown in that space by next season. If your product solves a real problem, a clear feature list will still beat a story for the serious buyers who actually write checks.
