Hit 500 days of straight data entry without a single sick day and nobody noticed
I work in a basement office in Omaha doing data entry for a logistics company, and last Wednesday I hit exactly 500 days without taking a single sick day. Nobody said a thing, not even my boss Linda who usually comments when I wear a different color shirt. It's weirdly disappointing to hit a milestone that means nothing to anyone but me. Has anyone else silently tracked something at work that just got ignored?

Ha, the coffee mug tracking is exactly the kind of pointless record I'd keep too. I once timed how fast I could fill out a TPS report and got it down to 47 seconds, but my boss just asked if I was trying to break the printer.

Bet your bottom dollar the one day you call in sick, Linda will show up at your desk with a card and a fruit basket. Funny how this stuff works. I tracked how many times I refilled my coffee mug for a whole year, and the only person who cared was the janitor who had to dump my grounds.
