I finally had a customer argue with me about a flat tire for 45 minutes
He insisted his slow leak was from a bad valve stem I installed last month, but the new puncture was clearly a nail in the tread. I showed him the nail, and he still demanded a free repair. Anyone else deal with people who just won't accept the obvious fix?

Had a guy last year who argued for 30 minutes about a sidewall cut. I started taking pictures of every tire with my phone before I even pull it off the car. I show them the photo right next to the actual damage on the tire. It cuts the talk down a lot because they see the proof before they get a story in their head. Sometimes you just need that visual proof to stop the back and forth before it even starts.

Honestly the picture trick is genius for cutting through the denial. It's like they need to see their own tire's crime scene photo before they'll believe it. Saves everyone from that awkward dance where they try to convince you the gash wasn't there before they arrived.
