I picked the boring spreadsheet over the fancy dashboard
Everyone in my office raved about the new power BI board our IT guy made. I spent 3 weeks using it and felt lost. So I went back to my old Excel tracker from 2022. It took me 2 days to redo the data entry, but I can find anything in 10 seconds. My boss asked why I wasn't using the new tool and I told him the old one works fine for me. Has anyone else stuck with the clunky system just because it makes sense to your brain?

Three weeks is actually a pretty fair shot, not just writing something off right away. The thing is, the old tracker doesn't work better because it's clunky, it works because you built it and your brain already knows where everything lives. A tool you can't find stuff in fast is just slowing you down, no matter how nice it looks.
