Pro tip: Labeling your files as 'FINAL' is a trap
I spent 2 hours at my desk job hunting for a spreadsheet that my boss said was 'right there on the shared drive' but it was buried under 17 versions with names like 'final_v3_actual_final.xlsx'. Turns out I'd renamed it 'for_real_this_time' after a late night. Anyone else waste half a shift chasing down a file that had 10 different labels?

Version control is a MYTH in that kind of chaos. Best bet is to just number them 1 through 10 and delete the extras. Learned that the hard way after hunting down "report_edit_edit_final_v2" for three hours.

lol @rileyowens I swear that "report_edit_edit_final_v2" thing is a universal struggle. I read somewhere that some teams just use dates and initials in the file name to avoid that mess, like "report_2025_02_AM". still chaotic but at least you can sort by date haha.
