The time a client's email signature taught me everything about my job
I was proofing a boring brochure layout yesterday when I got an email from a client. His signature line said, 'Sent from my phone, please excuse any brevity or typos.' I realized that's basically the motto for my entire freelance design career. I spend hours on tiny details no one will notice, and the final feedback is always a two-word reply from a phone. It made me laugh, but also kind of sad. Anyone else get their job philosophy handed to them in an auto-signature?

I mean, my boss has 'per my last email' in his signature, which feels like a warning shot. It basically sums up how we talk to each other all day. Kind of sets the whole mood, you know?

Ugh, that's the worst! My old boss used to do the same thing, and it just made everyone feel like they were in trouble all the time. It really does poison the whole office vibe.
