Used to write down every pour ticket in a notebook, now I punch them into a tablet at the batch plant
For 7 years I kept a green pocket notebook in my vest and wrote every load number by hand. Last April my dispatcher handed me a $200 Android tablet and said the plant was done with paper tickets. Now I type the slump and ticket number in before the truck even rolls out, and I can pull up a pour from 3 days ago in about 5 seconds. Anybody else get forced onto a tablet like this, or do some of you still run the notebook?
