inA friend's dad told me a story about a 1970s government project that got me digging
Oh man, I still can't tell if my taste buds changed or if they actually ruined Twinkies (probably just my taste buds to be fair).

inI thought those cheap plastic fence post caps were a total waste of money.
Does the rain REALLY splash up that high though, or is it just the snow melt in spring doing the damage?

inPaid $45 for a heated lunch bag. Best decision for my boring office job.
Man that is a GENIUS move for someone stuck near an AC vent. I have the opposite problem, my desk is right next to a radiator that kicks on full blast every afternoon. My yogurt basically cooked itself one day. A heated lunch bag though, that's next level. Now you get to eat like a king while everyone else is fighting over the microwave. Just don't forget to unplug it when you leave for the day, or your boss might think you're mining crypto with your lunch. Might have to grab one of those for my own cold desk corner, honestly.

inWasted $150 on a cheap router bit set. Don't do it.
100 percent @parker224, that smoking and falling apart thing is the classic cheap bit warning sign. It's like that with everything now, not just router bits. I've noticed it with batteries, power strips, even cooking pans at the grocery store. You buy the cheapest option and it literally fails in a weird way, but the middle ground stuff is decent enough. The real waste is the time and frustration, not just the few bucks saved.

inI had to choose between a weekly spread or a rolling daily log for my work tasks
Oh man, that "locked in by Wednesday" feeling is too real. I swear by Thursday my weekly spread starts looking like a crime scene with all the crossouts and arrows going everywhere. Migrating what matters is the only way I've kept my sanity too. Honestly, half the stuff I wrote down Monday turned out to be completely irrelevant by Friday anyway. It's like my past self had no idea what future me would actually need to deal with. So yeah, ditch the clutter or it'll just sit there judging you every time you open the book.
