Can we talk about that $50 "intro to coding" course I bought on sale, total waste
I grabbed a cheap online course about 3 months back because it was marked down to $50 from $200 and I figured why not. Turns out the whole thing was just someone reading off slides from a free textbook, and half the code samples had typos that stopped them from running at all. I burned 2 weekends on it and ended up more lost than when I started, while the free stuff on YouTube explained the same stuff in 20 minutes. Save your money and just do the free tutorials first, then pay for something once you actually know what you're stuck on. What free resources actually worked for you when you were starting out?
FreeCodeCamp got me through the basics without spending a dime, and their stuff actually runs when you type it in. What language are you trying to learn?
